No Canadian SkypeIn numbers |
| An issue for skypers in Canada is the unavailability of Canadian SkypeIn numbers. The unavailability is because Skype needs a business agreement with a Canadian CLEC eg Telus, Rogers or Bell to provide SkypeIn numbers. Plus Skype need to provide an e911 service facility to be in compliance with CRTC regulations. For e911 facility, Skype has to contract a Canadian 911 service provider as does DID provider Unlimitel. Further, Skype has to provide callerID service to be in compliance with e911. Therefore, at the moment, Canadians skype users have to use US, UK or other european countries SkypeIn numbers. |
